Successful Male Fertility Specialist Acquires Premier Sperm Bank in Southern California
San Diego, CA (PRWeb) March 26, 2007 -- The male fertility specialist, Dr. Martin Bastuba, who is taking over the directorship at Fertility Center of California (FCC) has over a decade of experience in fertility treatment. Former director Alan Ravin led the FCC for over 25 years since its inception in 1980 and established the excellent reputation the tissue bank has today.
"Individual attention to the patient is what it's all about," explains Dr. Bastuba, "We want to create a synergy between modern laboratory standards and the institution the Center has become over the years".
With its two locations and 14 staff members in San Diego and Orange serving Southern California, Dr. Bastuba injects the Center with new energy.
New computer and laboratory equipment will facilitate modern lab work. Daily administrative tasks are becoming more simplified and streamlined to ease staff workload and lower patient waiting times and to increase individual personal attention. One main goal is to simplify the process to order vials. A new website already took the sperm donor application process online. An interactive donor database is currently in development, which will make the search for suitable donors easier. Communication with the friendly staff is now possible via online contact forms and email.
The new leader is joined by a team of experts, who contribute to the proud legacy of patient care of the Center. Clinical director, Joe Richard, is Dr. Bastuba's right hand who implements most of the improvements on the clinical side. Teresa Bastuba is the counseling specialist in the San Diego office, setting up administrative enhancements. Webmaster and marketing expert, Constanze Scherer, modernizes the website and makes more patient information accessible on the Internet.
Within the short period of time Dr. Bastuba has been director at the FCC, he has already made a difference in the Center. "I think that his personality and open, energetic communication style is lifting the Center to a new level," comments Linda Duron, Patient Coordinator in Orange since 1986.
New technologies are implemented exclusively to meet the patients' needs. Once the initial changes have been incorporated, Dr. Bastuba has more plans for the sperm bank. His plans call for expansion of banking services with modern technologies such as egg banking and cord blood banking. "We don't want to have the biggest sperm and tissue bank, just the best."
